Recreation Coordinator

Pottery Instructor

West Shore Parks & Recreation Society is looking for a skilled Pottery Instructor to teach beginner pottery courses to both children and adults.  Instructors are responsible for planning and implementing courses, and should be capable of providing demonstrations and offering direct technique-based feedback to participants. Courses include hand-building and throwing, as well as glazing and finishing work.

Summer Program Supervisors

Under the general direction of the Preschool and School Age Programmer at Centennial Centre and Community Recreation Coordinator at JdF, the Summer Program Supervisor will provide leadership in planning, supervision and evaluation of a variety of summer day camps, specialty camps and licensed camps. This position is responsible for the overall operation of summer programs including staffing, equipment and supplies, program planning, facility scheduling and other related duties to ensure a high standard program.

Summer Art Camp Program Leader

West Shore Parks & Recreation is looking for an exceptional leader to deliver an arts-based summer camp program to youth between the ages of 6 and 12. The successful candidate will develop, plan and implement daily and weekly activities. The focus will be on providing youth with opportunities to experience a wide variety of visual and fine arts such as drawing, painting, pottery, sculpture, and photography. Field trips, visiting artists, swimming, and outdoor activities are to be incorporated into each week’s program.
